The museum is housed in a house which was built in the late 1890's by Thomas D. England. The museum houses temporary and permanent displays of heirlooms, artifacts, genealogical exhibits, vintage photographs, and other exhibits reflective of the history and heritage of the county.
The museum has guided walking tours on the second Saturday of each month from April to October. The tours last about one hour and the cost is $10.00. Reservations are requested for the tours and can be made by calling the Museum during our regular hours, Wednesday through Friday, from 10 am until 5 pm, Saturday from 11 am until 3 pm, or by sending an email titled "Walking Tour Reservations" to curator@transylvaniaheritage.org.
